About Nour
Nour offers a range of intensive educational programs
At Nour, we believe that education is the ultimate humanizing experience. Therefore, through our education programs, we set out on an ambitious journey of reviving a holistic approach to education that offers physical, intellectual, and spiritual sustenance.
Nour launched its first program in July 2020 with a mission to raise an ethical community of humans who are rooted in tradition, committed to seeking knowledge, and devoted to serving their environments. Since then Nour has been welcoming participants from across the world.
St. Catherine provides Nour with great gifts that are instrumental to all our programs: a palpable spiritual history, a majestic nature, and a loving Bedouin community that is true to its roots. For this, we are forever grateful.
Our programs are led primarily by the Jabaliyya Bedouin community and cataylzed by an intensive reading program, a variety of hikes, and a daily routine that creates space for reflections, sharing, and the production of knowledge.

UPCOMING PROGRAM
Summer 2026
5 Days
ST. CATHERINE, SINAI
ON FREEDOM
ST. CATHERINE, SINAI
ON FREEDOM
Freedom is, and has long been, enshrined as a basic human right, yet one seldom finds a common, nuanced, understanding of what it is that we are enshrining. What does Freedom mean? How do we genuinely live it? Is it even attainable? Why should we care about it? …
This five-day program invites an intimate group of interested individuals to think deeply about Freedom. Despite the brevity, participants should expect to be heard, challenged, and engaged in crafting a clearer understanding of the concept, rooted in practical ways to live it.
We will live in the mountains of St. Catherine, following a rhythm of hikes, Qigong, reading, discussions, workshops with the bedouins, and solo reflections. These elements work on the whole human - mind, body, and soul - to cultivate original thought, deep reflections, and meaningful discussions.
